Global aviation logistics and aftermarket services leader VAS Aero Services announced it has acquired seven Airbus A330 aircraft which had been operated by China Southern Airlines. The aircrafts’ newer-generation Pratt & Whitney PW-4170 engines will be made available for lease, as well as harvested for in-demand USM parts, while the airframes will be designated for placement or possible teardown and subsequent parts harvesting and marketing. This inventory will be widely accessed by the company’s worldwide airline operator and MRO customer base, as well as multiple teams within the Airbus and Satair network.
